KENDAL TOWN SIGN GOALKEEPERS

Kendal Town have announced the signing of goalkeeper Craig Dootson. The former Fleetwood and Altrincham stopper signs a 2 year deal at Parkside Road. Goalkeeper Tom Newton has also agreed a 12 month deal.
Manager Lee Ashcroft said: “I am absolutely delighted to have signed Craig Dootson and firmly believe he will be a great asset for the football club. I have played against and known Craig for a long time and know he has a fantastic attitude, a will to win and he will add to the ever improving squad I am building. Craig has always impressed me as a goalkeeper and has had a lot of interest from other clubs this summer for his signature. We have come up with a deal in which Craig is happy to commit his future to the club.
Also being able to agree terms and sign Tom Newton gives me goalkeeping strength in depth.
‘Working with the two goalkeepers is my specialist coach James Nichols who will greatly enjoy working with both new signings. James is very much looking forward to working with Craig and I believe the two of them will help Tom push for a first team place.’
‘With only two weeks to go before the start of pre season preparations, everyone at the club is really excited and I can’t wait to get pre season training underway.”
