A man’s due in court after two horses were killed and their riders badly hurt just off the M6 near Shap.
An X-type Jaguar hit the animals at junction 39 earlier this month.
70-year old Harold Birtwhistle – from Wigan – will appear before Carlisle magistrates.
He’s been charged with drink-driving and driving with out due care and attention.
