Now then…….
…. outside of Drivetime as you know I love performing on the stage and recently The Lakes Players performed the panto Cinderella at the Lakes School at Troutbeck Bridge. This year I was Buttons and loved every minute of it so huge thanks if you came to see it!
Now if you want a glimpse behind the scenes….this is what goes on when The Lakes Players do what is called the ‘Get In’ This is a video from last years panto ‘Beauty & The Beast’…
….Meanwhile back on the radio there’s lots of fun and games to be had including…….
A round of Blockbusters…which is a quick test of the lickle grey cells…
You never know who is out and about across the South Lakes and they might just pop into the Drivetime Studio so keep a listen out just after 3pm!

So keep your song choices upbeat feelgood and bouncy and I will do my best to cram as many in as possible!

ROMAN FORT UNEARTHED IN AMBLESIDE!
On Tuesday lunchtime I was in Ambleside at the site of a Roman Fort which has been discovered near to the edge of the lake, I caught up with Jamie from the National Trust and volunteer Fern to unearth more!

Steven Hall -Legend! In the Drivetime Studio!
Recently I was joined by ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ legend… an my old mate Steven Hall.
Here is me and Steven Hall in the Drivetime studio at Lakeland Radio:
We first met in a professional capacity just over eight years ago when we were both working on the then Brewery Art Centre’s Christmas pantomime ‘Cinderella’ when he played ‘Baron Hardup’ to my Ugly Sister called Viagra!!

Recently I was joined by former Emmerdale star Adele Silva who for over 20 years played the part of Kelly Windsor….We were chatting about how Britain has become obsessed with TV soap operas and here is your chance to listen again to our chat……

Musical talent in the Drivetime Studio…and she is only 16!!
Recently I was joined in the Drivetime studio by local singer songwriter and 16 year old…..Evie Plumb!
We chatted about her love of music and from where she got her influences from both at home and professionally with the likes of Katie Melua, Norah Jones and the awesome Adele topping her list.
As she had come to the studio with her keyboard tucked under her arm I thought it would only be the right thing to do to ask her to perform for us and you…..she sang and played two songs live, the first was called ‘Thursday Afternoon’ and her second, called ‘Purple Lake’ will be the title of her forthcoming debut album…..so keep an eye out for it!

Sandgate Cycles 5 Peak Challenge 2011
A local team of cyclists and climbers are currently undertaking a 5 Peak Challenge where they are attempting to climb 5 peaks in the British Isles, over 8 days they are also cycling between them as well just to give themselves a bit of a challenge I caught up with one of the team, Andrew Atkinson on day 5 and here are the highlights…..oh the team are hoping to raise £10,000 to go towards a new mini-bus for Sandgate School in Kendal.

Treading the boards!…….With Barton in Burton!!
As many of you will already be aware I was recently involved with Burton Am Dram’s performances of Dick Barton Special Agent! which played to sell out audiences on both nights! I had a fantastic time taking on the lead role of the special agent meeting and making lots of friends along the way…..
